Start your day on Wednesday, March 29, at the Central Plains Dairy Expo Trade Show with the Ag Prayer Breakfast. The breakfast buffet in the Sanford Premier Center will open at 7 a.m. Testimonials and music will follow. Tickets are $25 per person.

The keynote speaker is Rita Vander Kooi, of Ocheda Dairy, Worthington, Minn.. Rita and her husband, Joe, have four children: Vince (11), Liv (8), Ava (5), and Violet (2). They met Vander Kooiwhile attending the University of Minnesota - St. Paul, and have been married for 13 years.
Rita and Joe farm with Joe’s father, Dave. Ocheda Dairy is home to 1,300 milking cows. The family takes great pride in operating a farm that is a thriving business in rural America and they enjoy adapting to the ever-changing dairy industry.

Nearly two years ago, Rita’s and Joe’s daughter Ava, somehow became unbuckled from the backseat of a side-by-side she was riding. She suffered extensive damage to the bundle of nerves that operated her right arm. Through Rita's blog, SoSheMarriedAFarmer, many people have come to support their family, their farm, and Ava's journey to regain some of her arm function. Rita and Joe are excited to be a part of the Ag Prayer Breakfast to share their testimony of God's love and faithfulness, even in the midst of tragedy.
